- Ecodharma Retreat Center
October 10, 2019 - October 14, 2019
4:00 pm - 12:00 pm
“If somebody should ask you what true Zen is…demonstrate the aspects of zazen posture. Then, spring breezes will gently coax the marvelous flowers of the plum tree to blossom” (Daichi Sokei 1290-1366)
In this mostly silent retreat, we will cultivate spinal awareness through meditational yoga, breathwork, and experientially discovering the correct posture for zazen meditation. This not only serves the awakening process- it assists in untying the knots of frozen energies in the body and liberates our shadows and traumas with great efficiency. The sensory awareness of our spines also assists in navigating our ego contractions from a developmental perspective.
This retreat is sponsored by Integral Zen Denver Community and the teacher, Zenho Chad Bennett, is an Integral Zen Priest and a licensed psychotherapist.
